Privacy Policies

Updated May 25, 2018

This Privacy Policy explains how LC Labs collects and processes personal data provided to us on our website.

LC Laboratories maintains the strictest of privacy policies for information provided to us by our customers and business partners. We respect your privacy and are aware that the security of your private information is of paramount importance. We take the protection of your personal data seriously, and in keeping with the European Union's new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we have updated our policies and communicate these changes below.

We have included details on how we collect and store the data you provide to us, how we use this information and how you can update your personal information or request to have it deleted. We always strive to collect the minimum amount of personal data required to complete transactions as we do business with you.  If you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policies, please contact us at [email protected].

By using our website to request information and place orders, you acknowledge that you fully understand this policy and consent to the information collected as described below. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time and will post revisions at this location on our website.

The Information We Collect

When you visit our website to place orders or request information, we collect and retain personal identity data that enables us to provide you the requested services.  This includes name, mailing address, email address, phone and FAX numbers. In addition, if you place an order with us using a credit card we collect personal transaction and financial data required to complete this transaction.  This may include transaction details (date of transaction, what was ordered and in what quantity), as well as financial data such as credit card number.  We don't have access to any credit card information that you provide to us through our website.  Instead, it is encrypted and handled by our payment gateway service that our banks have selected, all of whom use methods that are in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard requirements.

You do not have to register with us in order to use our website or make purchases on our website. When you visit our website, information is collected automatically. Your IP address and other non-identifying information may be collected using tracking technologies such as third-party cookies. When you place a product in your shopping cart, we use cookies to store information about items selected so they can remain in your cart even if you do not complete the transaction immediately. We do not use "Web Beacons" to track the pages you visit on our website, but your IP address, general information about your computer hardware and software, and general location information is stored by a third-party vendor.  This information is only used to better understand how to better serve our customers.

What We Do with the Information We Collect

We collect and retain the minimum amount of information required to provide you the services that you request.  We do not release any personal information you provide to us to any non-affiliated third parties, except as may be required by law.  We will NEVER sell your personal information to any third party.  Our policy is to use your email address to send infrequent, brief updates on the following topics – new products, price reductions, changes to our website, services or policies, announcements of new printed editions of our catalog and alerts for new articles and technical notes published by our scientists.  We do not do any telephone solicitation.

If you have chosen to opt-out of email advertising, we will promptly remove your email addresses from our email advertising lists--we will not send you unsolicited email advertising. Alternatively, you may provide us with a written request, by fax, email or mail, and we will remove your contact information from the appropriate databases.

Occasionally we or our affiliates use our list of customer and prospect postal mailing addresses for bulk mailing of catalogs or newsletters.  We are pleased to promptly honor any written request that your name and address not be used for this purpose.

What You Can Do About the Data We Collect

We will always honor your request to have your personal data deleted from our records.  Although this feature is not automated at this time (e.g. self-service personal data management) we do understand and control the flow of data in our systems, and have a protocol in place to delete records when requested. You can also request that we provide you with the details that we have stored.  We will promptly honor this request and send you what we have in electronic form by email.

Our Goal is Customer Satisfaction!

In order to achieve this goal, we strive to collect the minimum amount of personal information that we believe will help your overall experience browsing our website and purchasing our products.  We only communicate with you content that we think will be of interest, or that notifies you of new products and better prices.  We work very hard to protect your personal data and take very seriously the responsibility that comes with you trusting us with your personal data. LC Laboratories is committed to providing you with the best products, at the best prices, and will always strive to do this responsibly.
